Sign in at account.microsoft.com/services.

Find Xbox Game Pass in your subscriptions.

Click Manage → Cancel subscription (or Turn off recurring billing).

Confirm — choose 'keep until end date' unless a refund is offered.
Before you cancel
Refunds: Turning off recurring billing keeps access until the period ends; Microsoft sometimes offers prorated refunds for immediate cancellation.
After cancelling: Game Pass games stop launching when the subscription lapses; your saves are kept and games you purchased outright are unaffected.
Good to know: Game saves survive — if you resubscribe later (or buy the game), you continue where you left off.
Subscribed through the App Store or Google Play?
Subscriptions billed through Apple or Google can only be cancelled in the store, not on the service's website. iPhone/iPad: Settings → your name → Subscriptions. Android: Play Store → profile icon → Payments & subscriptions → Subscriptions. Deleting the app never cancels the billing.
