-
1

-
2

-
3
Click Manage → Cancel subscription.
-
4
Choose whether to get a refund (if eligible) or keep access until the term ends, then confirm.
Before you cancel
Refunds: Microsoft often prorates refunds on annual plans cancelled mid-term — the cancel flow shows your options.
After cancelling: Office apps go read-only and OneDrive drops to 5 GB when the subscription ends. Files are kept but may exceed quota.
Good to know: Word/Excel on the web stay free — if you only edit documents occasionally you may not need the subscription at all.
Subscribed through the App Store or Google Play?
Subscriptions billed through Apple or Google can only be cancelled in the store, not on the service's website. iPhone/iPad: Settings → your name → Subscriptions. Android: Play Store → profile icon → Payments & subscriptions → Subscriptions. Deleting the app never cancels the billing.
