Cancel Max (HBO Max) step by step

Sign in at max.com and open your profile (top right), then Settings → Subscription.

Click Manage Subscription.

Choose Cancel Subscription.

Confirm through the retention screen.
Before you cancel
Refunds: No partial refunds for unused time.
After cancelling: Streaming continues until the end of the billing cycle; the account and watch history remain afterwards.
Good to know: If Max is billed through your TV provider or a bundle, you'll need to cancel with that provider instead — the Max site will tell you who bills you under Subscription.
Subscribed through the App Store or Google Play?
Subscriptions billed through Apple or Google can only be cancelled in the store, not on the service's website. iPhone/iPad: Settings → your name → Subscriptions. Android: Play Store → profile icon → Payments & subscriptions → Subscriptions. Deleting the app never cancels the billing.
